It is approximately 300 years old and is furnished to provide comfortable accommodation with classic character and charm of the original building. Beamed ceilings, large inglenook fireplace with open wood-burning stove and some modern conveniences make this an inexpensive location from which to explore this beautiful area, including the Spa City of Bath. To the front is a small cottage garden and to the rear open fields and country views. Further afield are Salisbury and Salisbury Plain, Devizes Longleat House & Safari Park, Stourhead House & Gardens, National Trust village of Lacock, Castle Combe, Rode Tropical Bird Gardens. Local walks, Inns and shop 1/2 mile. . |

It’s the famous local honey-coloured stone that makes the buildings here, whether a tiny cottage or grand manor house, so distinctive and so appealing. Little has changed in many of the Cotswolds towns for more than 300 years, giving them a rare beauty in today’s world, and they are all within easy reach of our any of holiday lets or cottages in the Cotswolds.
Perhaps the most perfect Cotswolds town is Broadway, now a major centre for arts and antiques. Broadway is also well known for its tower, from which it is said you can see 14 counties. There’s also the beautifully preserved Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water, the “Little Venice” of the Cotswolds and Stow-on-the-Wold, perhaps the best-known of the smaller towns here. But there are countless other charming places to discover as you tour these gentle hills.
The market town of Cirencester, the “capital of the Cotswolds” boasts a very fine parish church as well as the Corinium Museum. This features a fascinating re-creation of life in Roman Britain.
